Jim Browning is a Colorado-based entrepreneur, business strategist, and community leader with a career spanning education, retail, specialty running, and beyond. Growing up on a Texas farm, Jim developed a reputation for creative problem-solving before pursuing engineering at West Point, where he captained the Sandhurst Team to a Brigade Championship. After earning additional degrees from the University of Missouri S&T and Duke University, he embarked on a career that blended engineering precision with business leadership. Jim’s path has included executive roles in education, trades programs, and specialty retail, where he helped expand Run Specialty Group from zero to over 50 stores nationwide before its sale to The Finish Line. In Colorado, he co-founded RNK Running, a community-focused retail and lifestyle brand supporting Douglas County’s active culture. Through JB Services, Jim now advises organizations across industries—from agriculture to construction and nonprofits—helping teams align around shared vision, predictable systems, and measurable results.
